spring break and birthday fun!

Spring break is fun!

We love that Mimi was off for a week!

And so was Nana!

And it was Saint Patrick's Day too!

We also made some hats and had a photo session with one that I made in a larger size.

{I love my hat model!}

And then we got to go celebrate Madison's birthday!!

Will absolutely had a blast at Pump It Up Jr.
We may have found a future birthday party spot for this guy!

{I had fun too!}

christmas in march?!

Yay - it's Christmas again!

We finally got to celebrate Christmas last weekend with my Aunt Christa and Uncle Steve. I know, I know...we're running about 3 months late on that. But every time they planned a trip, one or all of us ended up with snow and ice. So it was about time! We had lots of fun hanging out, opening presents, and of course, playing with Will.

Uncle Steve got to meet Will for the first time. They bonded.

Such a fun weekend!

how the parties have changed...

We had a very fun get-together with some great friends on Friday night. The guys are all fraternity brothers, and we noticed that their parties have changed a bit in the past few years.

New theme party: bring your babies!
{to be fair, that is not Muckleroy's baby. he is sharing sweet Caroline for the pic}

it's tough to get four guys and four babies to all look at the same camera!

Will was already in his pajamas by the time we started the photos. He and Matt got some pre-bedtime playing in. I love these guys!

We absolutely LOVED meeting Ryann and Caroline. They are so precious, and you can already tell that they're just besties. They would hold hands while laying on their playmat together. LOVE!

13 months!

So I thought I was going to stop doing the monthly posts at a year. But then today Will turned 13 months old and I sorta felt like I wanted to take a picture with the bear. So we did.

And then I was just thinking about the new stuff he's been doing lately, and how I don't want to forget it. AND...just decided recently to print the blog as a scrapbook each year since I never get pictures printed anymore...so there you go. Gonna do a 13 month post. Might not do one EVERY month, but I just might. We'll see.

Speaking of the bear pic - look what a difference a year makes!
This was last March 11.

Definitely more challenging to get him to sit still a year later!

A few things Will is doing at 13 months:
  • Loves his books! I'd say that his books are probably his number one toy right now. It's great because we can bring a book anywhere we go. He loves to flip through the pages, and right now he is really into the books that have lots of pictures. He loves to point to things and let me tell him the words. I feel like he is such a little sponge right now, just learning constantly!
  • For the most part, Will is sleeping like a champ. Except for the random mornings when he wakes up at 5am {argh}, he usually sleeps from 8-7ish and naps from around 1-3 every day. I'm liking the 1 nap a day schedule.
  • Even though he still has only 2 teeth, Will loves his food! {fyi, I feel like the top two teeth that were starting to come in have stopped all progress and possibly regressed?!} Right now, his favorite things to eat are blueberries, grapes, banana, wagon wheel pasta, and yogurt melts. Oh, and cheese. Always cheese. Or cheese flavored anything.
  • He has really gotten so sweet lately. Not sure if the one nap a day just makes him a little more tired sometimes or if he's just a super sweetheart, but he will often crawl up into my lap and just lay his little head down. I love it. LOVE IT.
  • And finally, Will has been adding to his vocabulary this month. It's fascinating to me. At 13 months, he says "ca" for cat, "du" for dog {and sometimes duck}, "nana" for banana, mama, and dada. Sometimes he uses mama and dada correctly, but he also uses "dada" to point out things he wants and "mama" to let me know when he's not pleased about something. We have been working on pointing out nose, eyes, mouth, etc. for a couple of weeks now, and Will had gotten very good at pointing to them when I would say the words. And then a few days ago, he just woke up and could say them! {at least, the Will version of the words} My favorite part is that when he says "eye," it comes out sounding like he's a little tiny country man. Here's a video. In the first half, I just grabbed my phone during lunch, so you'll have to take my word for it that he's saying the right things since you can't see me pointing. But if you keep watching, you'll see Matt. So fun!

Happy 13 months, little man!

just some fun pics

Just uploaded some random pics from my phone and a few from a playdate this week. ENJOY!

So Will and I were taking a walk in the wagon the other day, and it was chilly so he was wearing a hat. At one point, I turned around to see that he had removed the hat and was rocking this hairstyle:

Found him pantless after a nap the other day.

Basketball superstar

I think....

...we are gonna...

...have a climber on our hands!

Playdate with Jennie and Harper!

LOVE these babies!

Happy weekend to all!
