playdate fun

We've had lots of fun playdates lately.  It's especially fun in the summer when we don't have to work around school schedules, and everyone can join the fun!  Usually I'm too busy chasing small people around to take any pictures, but I have a few from some recent playdates.  I'm especially loving that the girls are getting a little bit more comfortable playing at other people's houses and with new friends!  {I mean, of course, as long as I'm in clear view at all times, haha!}

Snacks with Emma and Madison
{with a little sweet Lincoln peeking in behind!}

We have had lots of fun playing with the Campbells this summer.  I should note that from the moment the girls met Lucy, she became their best friend whether she knew it or not!  Anytime the word "friend" is mentioned, Emily and Caroline say, "Lucy??!"

Will wanted a buddy to go through the spray tunnel, and I was the chosen one!  ;)

And I'm already working on the arranged marriage of Will and darling little Emma.  They play together SO well...it's really sweet to watch.  And the kids all had such a fun time making homemade pizza for lunch.

group hug!

Baby Luke is always the most popular one in the room.  :)

We LOVED getting together with the Jacksons now that Parker is out of school for the summer!

And after seeing the picture above, I remembered that we took a very similar one 2 years ago...so I had to find it.  2 years make a big difference!   ;)  Love these kiddos.

We love our friends!

father's day

Somehow I never get many pictures of Father's Day...but it deserves a post just the same.  :)  This year, Matt took Will golfing in the morning with his dad and siblings, and then we had a fun dinner at our house with my dad.  Definitely a busy day for this little guy:

For Matt's father's day gift, I made him an aggie logo polo.  We can never ever find any that fit him, because he's so tall and skinny....so I bought a polo in a brand that actually fits and embroidered it with the logo.  {See Matt...just another benefit of the new machine!}

Not that there's any question, but Matt could never deny that our kids are his....they ALL have his dark blue eyes!  :)

Happy Father's Day to the best fathers out there....we love you, Matt, Duke, and Grandpa!

mother's day

Time to catch up on the blog!  Apparently when I got an embroidery machine a couple of months ago, I completely abandoned everything else in life for awhile.  ;)  But since I use the blog as our family scrapbook, it's time to catch up before I forget everything that's happened!  So let's start with Mother's Day.  We had the whole family over for lunch and ordered food from Mi Cocina so the moms wouldn't have to do any cooking.  Such a fun day!

I wanted to take a picture with my children for Mother's Day....and this is the best we got, haha!

Mostly because this sweet one was not in the mood...

UNTIL we got out the roller coaster, and then everyone was all smiles!

A rare "2 parents to one child" moment in our house!

And we ended the afternoon with some magnatiles - fun for all!

Such a fun mother's day!!  I am one proud & happy momma.  :)

spring fun

We've been having fun as the weather has been warming up this spring!  Our kids LOVE being outside, so we've taken lots of walks to the lake, played some soccer, and enjoyed the arboretum.

Will has been playing on a soccer team with the Y - so fun!

He even scored a goal in his last game!

And he got his first trophy!

The girls and I went to the arboretum one morning while Will was at school.  I didn't bring my big camera, but they were having so much fun that I had to snap some pics on my phone!

say CHEESE!

And this isn't necessarily fun, but kind of funny.  This is how we found Will one night when he had a cold.  I told him that stacking a couple of pillows might help him cough less.  So he stacked every single one in his room, sweet boy!!

Magna-tile master!

 Emily accessorizing with bells.  {because we need more noise!}

We had a playdate with the Jacksons, and I had to document our table FULL of kids at lunch!!

Will got to go to a karate birthday party last weekend, and he loved it. He wanted to stay all day!

I think they're ready for summer!
