hearts and love

After a simply fabulous Valentines episode of Glee, I got into the Valentines Day mood tonight. So I present to you....

hearts...
{made a bunch of these tonight and LOVE them!}

...and LOVE.
{that's right. street cats fall in love too.}

time flies

How did this guy...

turn into THIS guy...
sooooo fast?!!

I can't believe Will is going to be ONE on Friday. Feeling pretty sappy and sentimental this week. Watch out for cheeseball posts from me. I'll try to keep it to a minimum. :)

snow is more fun than ice!

Day four of our house arrest got a lot more fun, because it snowed about 6 inches!! And for the first time in years, it was cold enough that it ALL stuck. {Remember, it snowed 11 inches on Will's birthday, but I think temps hovered right around freezing, so the roads were fine.} We have decided that Will is a snow baby, because after he was born on the record snowfall day, it has snowed more times in his life than Matt and I can ever remember in one year!

We had lots of fun playing outside, although only in short bursts because Mr. Will doesn't like to be cold. I, on the other hand, could have stayed out all day. Although I generally don't like to be cold, I found that I turned into a giant child when the snow arrived. No joke - I saw the snow start to fall about midnight on Thursday as I was going to bed, and I got so excited that I couldn't sleep! It looked like a snow globe outside, and I knew it was definitely cold enough that it was going to be a winter wonderland the next morning. I had a blast running around in the snow, having snowball fights with Matt, taking Will on a walk in the wagon, and making our tiny snowman. Maybe I just had lots of pent up energy from being confined to 1700 square feet for the previous 3 days?

So fun to have Matt home!

can't believe Will is almost one!

And I just couldn't resist posting this. Matt and Will were playing on the couch, and the static got out of control. Haha!

snow days

Hey guys! It snowed!!

We have been snowed {iced} in for 2 days! Matt was home from work on snow day #1, which was super fun. He had to go back to the office today {even though it is still icy and his office was *technically* closed...}, and Will and I started to get a wee bit stir crazy. Temps aren't supposed to get above freezing until Friday, so we may really run out of activities tomorrow. Here's what we've been up to:

Will got to play in the snow yesterday.
All was well until he decided to crawl to me...

Ow!! Cold!

But overall, still fun. :)

Today we practiced standing.

And chewing socks while standing.

Then we really got bored with the indoor toys, so I decided we needed a craft. I first thought fingerpainting could be fun, but then quickly remembered that Will would most likely immediately eat the paint. So I decided we would fingerpaint with applesauce. {even better - cranberry/raspberry applesauce, which is bright red}

A little unsure...

What IS this?

YUM!

Dude, this is awesome!

Messy, delicious, AND fun. Snow day success.

Next stop: bathtub!
{Don't think I've mentioned on the blog yet - Will has graduated to the big boy bathtub! Mostly because the yellow duck tub sprung a leak, but also because he loves it.}

Woohoo!

He points at everything these days.

When I was grabbing his towel, I noticed his robe in the drawer. He hasn't worn it much, as it was too big when I tried it on him last. It fits in the arms/body now, but I have to question its length. Is a shorty robe really appropriate? Ever?

Pretty hot look with the diaper, don't you think?

And no snow day would be complete without some quality time with Ally.

And of course, by "quality time," I mean harassment and tail pulling.

We hope your snow days have been as fun as ours!
{We also hope for warmer weather soon!}

coming soon...

So instead of cleaning house, doing laundry, or preparing the million things I need to do before Will's birthday party, I spent tonight designing a logo for my etsy shop. True, you don't need a logo to start a shop, but as a girl with marketing in my heart, I want one. Probably won't get the shop up till after Will's birthday, but here's a preview:
