well, well, well...

...look who is FINALLY getting his top teeth!!

It's hard to see, and clearly this is not the best angle for Will's chin situation, but if you look super closely, you can see his top teeth making their way through. Woo-hoo! Here we come, hamburgers! {no, I'm not gonna feed him hamburgers.}

So besides growing teeth, what else has Will been up to lately? Well, he's been talking some {mama, dada, ca for cat, du for duck and dog} and showing off by pointing out items in his favorite "first words" book {ball, cat, and dog} and body parts {nose, mouth, head, belly button, and ears}.

He has also found a few new favorite spots around the house.

It's tough to load or unload the dishwasher these days...

And this has become a new playtime spot.

We also tried a new mohawk hairstyle after bathtime.

Who doesn't love a naked dude with a red mohawk?!

We're also using the sippy cup and snack trap most afternoons. Sometimes this can get messy.

And we have been to the arboretum every afternoon for almost a week. It's so beautiful out there!

Yesterday, Will was standing at his wagon, and I noticed that he was standing alone - not using the wagon for support. So I whipped out the camera to get some pics, and he just took off walking towards me! He probably walked six steps before falling down! I tried to recreate it and get a video, but Will was having none of it. So here are the pics:

Then I tried to get some cute shots in the grass {he WAS wearing a button down AND shoes...figured I should take some pictures!}.

love this one

He wasn't really that smiley until a new friend crawled over to play, and then he was all smiles!

He loved Zoe and kept pointing at her cute "Z" clip!

If you ever want to hang out with us, just come to the big grassy area in the arboretum around 3-5pm. Any day. Seriously...

ok, who's gonna step up?

Someone needs to have a baby....

So we can take some newborn photos in this fun cocoon!!

George tried to help me out, but it's just not the same.

So I've seen newborn photos in these adorable cocoons, and the other day I became a bit obsessed with wanting to learn to make them. The pink/brown one was my first one, and I'm excited to try different colors. I'm also going to work on the "stork pouch" style cocoon, which somehow hangs with the baby in it. Not sure what you hang it on? But looks fun to me! Here's a pic I found on etsy. See, I'm not completely crazy. These do exist.

I've also been adding new hats to the shop, and my favorite so far is this lion:

George is the best model.
{I wonder if it creeps people out that I use a stuffed monkey as a model? I think it's less creepy than the people who use baby dolls. It freaks me out a bit to originally think I'm seeing a real baby, only to realize it's not. But, I digress...}

So that's what I've been up to lately. I also created a facebook page for Night Owl. You know, for all the fans. {haha - I'm clearly joking, but I thought it would be fun to be able to post updates about new stuff, and maybe give the blog readers a break from me posting about every little thing I make.}

So if you like it, click below and and LIKE it!
{You won't get annoying emails or anything, but when I post stuff it will show up in your news feed.}

So I'm a little behind on this post, as it happened LAST Saturday. Jennifer and I hosted a sip & see for precious baby Cole. It was a blast! Here are some pics.

step by step {oooo baby!}

So do you have the NKOTB song stuck in your head too now? Good. ;) The song got stuck in my head because my baby took FOUR steps today! Go Will! Yesterday, he took three steps, so today I decided to set up the video camera on a tripod and see if I could catch the action. Too bad no one told me not to sit my big ole self right between the baby and the camera....but hopefully you can see enough of Will to get the idea. I tried to get another video right after I realized that I was blocking him, but he was having no more of standing or walking at that point. We'll try again later. For now, enjoy this one!

And when I was downloading the walking video off the camera, I found one that I took the other day that I just had to share. It shows Will playing his new favorite games: peekaboo at the coffee table and banging on the coffee table. Funny little dude.
